At Atlantic Craftsman Roofing, we’ve always believed that being the best roofing company means more than delivering top-quality roofs. It also means investing in the communities we serve. As a family-owned roofing contractor, we understand what it’s like to juggle life as business owners, parents, and neighbors. Like so many of you, we send our children off to school each morning with the hope that they’re guided by caring, capable teachers.
Teachers are the heart of every community. But dedication alone doesn’t stock classrooms with supplies. Across the country, educators spend hundreds of dollars of their own money each year to give their students the basics they need to succeed. That reality struck us deeply, and three years ago, it inspired us to launch the Atlantic Craftsman Back-to-School “Clear the List” Giveaway, a campaign designed to make a difference for local teachers while highlighting our commitment to community service.
Why We Started the “Clear the List” Campaign
At Atlantic Craftsman Roofing, we specialize in building strong foundations, both on homes and in the community. Education is another kind of foundation, one that shapes the future for our children.
That’s why we started the Back-to-School “Clear the List” Contest. The idea was simple: give local teachers the opportunity to submit their classroom wish lists, then select winners and purchase supplies directly for them.
By helping to stock classrooms, we ease the financial burden on teachers and make sure students have access to resources that foster learning and creativity. Just like a strong roof protects a home, strong classrooms help protect the future of our neighborhoods.
How the Giveaway Works
The process is simple but impactful. Each summer, local teachers are invited to enter by sharing how long they’ve been teaching, what grade they teach, and a link to their Amazon classroom wish list.
In 2025, we selected 12 incredible educators from our Facebook entries. These teachers represented different grades and schools but shared one thing in common: a deep commitment to their students.
From classroom basics like pencils and markers, to creative resources like art supplies and STEM kits, we purchased items directly from their lists and shipped them to their homes before the school year began. By the time the first bell rang, these teachers were fully stocked and ready to welcome their students.
Supporting Teachers, Supporting Our Community
This campaign is about much more than school supplies. It’s about supporting the people who shape the next generation. Teachers are community heroes. They guide, mentor, and inspire our children, often while working with limited resources.
At Atlantic Craftsman, we believe supporting teachers means supporting the entire community. Well-equipped classrooms help students stay engaged, learn better, and feel more confident. And when students thrive, neighborhoods thrive too.
Even clearing a single list can mean a classroom has the books, supplies, or creative tools needed to spark learning. If one teacher feels supported, seen, and encouraged because of this campaign, then we’ve done our job.
